SUPERDRUG DEAD SEA MUD MASK

The last couple of weeks have been my little thoughts on the Superdrug skincare range, specifically the tea tree range but today (luckily) its a bit different and I stepped away from that got on to mud masks, specifically the Dead Sea Mud Mask that I bought from my local supermarket. I love mud masks because it really does help my skin detoxify since its quite oily and this type of mud masks come in handy in the spring and summer. This particular mud mask is supposed to be a detoxifying for the skin, lets see how it compares.

Its the same with most masks, they come in a tube which makes applying the mask so much easier and then you also waste less of the product. Obviously it takes the usual mud mask colour and its a deep green/mud colour. I actually love the consistency of this mask, its soft and smooth and really easy to apply on the face. I usually apply it with my hands but you could also use a flat foundation brush to get a more precise application.

I usually use the mud mask on my t-zone as its the most oily and needs the most detoxifying. Once you have applied it does dry up pretty fast and the one thing I did notice is that while its drying up it does tighten up quite a bit so I would suggest that once it has dried up say (about 80%) wash it off faster than you would normally if you start feeling uncomfortable.

Once you have washed everything off, I did feel that my skin felt clean and detoxified. My pores did look smaller and my t-zone felt really good. Felt less oily and I also felt that whenever I used this mask my skin specially my t-zone looked less oily and shiny throughout the day, so that's a plus. However as much as it did detoxify my skin it also did feel a bit dry and tight once it was washed off. This didn't really bother me that much but if it your more on to the dry skin side then it might be an issue. Once I toned my face it felt normal and didn't feel dry at all.

Overall I would say a relatively good budget friendly mud mask and you can try it out if your on the look out for one that isn't too pricey. This doesn't compare to my Origins Mud Mask but its worth a try.

Have you ever used the Superdrug mud mask? Let me know what you think in the comment box below.
