REVIEW | TOO FACED CHOCOLATE BAR

I love eye shadow palettes, as its easy to carry around and you get quite a few different shades of eye shadows for a reasonable price. Since of late I have been collecting different eye shadow palettes and one of such palette is the Too Faced Chocolate Bar eye shadow palette. I bought it from Sephora and it cost Singapore$69 and I got it while I was on a mini b'day holiday, perfect gift for myself.

I mean just take a look at the packaging, super cute and looks just like a yummy chocolate bar. I love when the packaging itself looks pretty, makes you really appreciate the brand and the product that much more, at least that's how I feel, what do you think? The mirror is quite big and perfect for on the go touch up if you need it. I don't really use the palette but it has come in handy when I am doing a clients makeup for them to have a quick look. The palette in my opinion has a balanced of matte and shimmer eye shadows. Its so convenient because it becomes a multipurpose as you can use the matte shades as a base for eye shadows and even use the darker shades as brow powders.

As you can see from the swatches, the eye shadows are very pigmented and has very good colour pay off. Milk Chocolate and Salted Caramel are the least pigmented eye shadows from this palette and I mostly use them as eye shadow bases or to set my eye primer. The shimmer shades absolutely gorgeous and my favourites are Amaretto, Haute Chocolate and Hazelnut. The rest of the eye shadows are gorgeous as well but these are the ones that I use the most on myself but I do use the rest on clients if they want. There is very minimal fall off from these eye shadows and they really good show off on the eye lids without having to really pack the eyes the eye shadow. With the help of a primer its even more pigmented as I do HAVE to wear primer if not they get creased as my eyelids are very oily. I do get a good 4-5 hours with a primer before slight creasing happens and without a primer well I get about 3-4 hours the minimum but there is significantly more creasing that is noticeable. What I also really love about the eye shadows from this palette is how well the matte shades show up because normally matte shades tend to be invisible on darker skin tones but these one do show well even the lightest shades do show but not as much as the rest because of my skin tone.

Overall such a lovely eye shadow palettes with amazing pigmentation and wear time with minimum fall off so you don't end up having panda eyes. The colour selection is very good and I think compliments most skin tones so if your a makeup artist like I am then its very handy to have in your professional kit. Definitely recommend this palette and now that I have tried this I am tempted to get the other Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar palette in this range.

Have you ever tried the Too Faced Chocolate Bar eye shadow palette? What do you think of the eye shadows? Let me know what you think in the comment box below.
