REVIEW | L'OREAL YOUTH CODE ESSENCE

I always try to find a serum that will give a glow to my skin as I do have slight of skin pigmentation so I find that when ever I use a serum that helps with rejuvenating and boosting my skin that it does have a slight glow as well that starts showing. I used the Crabtree & Evelyn Serum that I loved and swear by but as you know once you start blogging you tend to try different products so you can write about them and I didn't repurchase it. So as time went by my skin was looking a bit dull and was in need of a good pick me up and specially with the new season I needed something that will help give it a boost. I had tried the L'oreal Youth Code Eye Serum and really loved it so I thought why not give the Youth Code Essence a try. I bought mine from Bonjour here in Hong Kong and its costs around HK$150

The packaging is pretty cute as it comes in a small glass bottle with a pipette type screw lid. This help you control how much of product you take out, a good way to reduce wasting the serum. The serum kind of has a smoked colour to it with a very thin and fluid texture that glides smoothly over the skin and gets absorbed pretty fast, you will have to give it about 30 seconds till its all absorbed into the skin. Just one drop is more than enough for the whole face and neck. There isn't any fragrance to it which I like because sometimes my eyes and nose can get irritated for the smell.

The serum claims that with using just one drop that your skin is supposed to be smoother, softer and be absorbent much more than before and within one week the texture of your skin is supposed to be much better and within one month your skin is supposed to be younger and radiant looking. Lets how true these claims stand to be.

The first time I used it, I didn't notice any difference to my skin however after about a week I noticed that my skin was looking brighter and healthier. Its been about 3 weeks now and I must say that I have been really enjoying it, I took it on holiday with me as well and I must say that my skin didn't look tired or dull throughout the holiday. I was able to look fresh even when I was tired and that was all thanks to this serum. It kept my skin hydrated and fresh looking. Now after 3 weeks I can say my skin is looking much better, it has a slight glow to it and the dullness have vanished. I didn't really notice a difference when it came to my skin being softer or smoother, I felt that my skin was pretty soft and smooth before so nothing different happened in that area. I am quite happy with serum and I will continue to use it till it finishes, I am waiting to see what my skin will look like after about 2 months.

If you feel that your skin is feeling a bit dull and lacking some glow, they give this a try, it will help to rejuvenate and boost your skin, with the party season right around the corner you definitely need to step up your skincare game and have the best skin possible for the Christmas season.

Have you ever tried this Essence by L'oreal before? What did you think? What is your go to serum for glowing skin. Let me know what you think in the comment box below.
