OOTD | STYLING AN OUTFIT WITH NIKE TRAINERS

I am so not the sporty type kinda girl, so you will not catch me wearing sneakers. Oh well that was until I moved to Hong Kong, with all the uneven floors and walking around you do while living here the only solution to help your poor feet is to invest in a good pair of sneakers. A pair that you can wear any where with any outfit you feel like (obviously not in the night). Sneakers are so much more comfortable and here you have so many options available that it can actually be quite difficult to pick one. Sneakers and trainers are pretty popular here among fashionistas and I have seen quite a few fashion bloggers put some amazing outfit together with a pair of sneakers or trainers. After envy their styling tips I decided to give it ago and put an outfit together with a pair of trainers that I had, so here goes.

Let me start with a small review of the Nike trainers that I bought. They are the Nike Zoom Speed TR2 AMP in white/black and they cost HK$669 and I bought them from GigaSports. They are absolutely comfortable and well cushioned. You can literally walk the whole day and your feet wont hurt and that is exactly what I did when I was in Japan on holiday. These trainers really did come in handy and I am so glad I bought them. Planning on taking them on my US trip as well.

As I mentioned before since I'm so not the sporty type, I kept the outfit simple, just how I like it but still casual and chic. Instead of wearing a comfy tee I wore a silk blouse so it will give that oomph effect to give a dressed up look. As usual opted for a pair of jeans and folded them a bit and I actually liked how it looked so kept it that way. If I wanted to out in the night all I had to do was switch my sneakers for a pair of wedges or heels and the outfit was night time ready. Since my trainers were a mix of black and white I decided to go with the theme and chose a black and white top and wore a pair of light blue jeans to keep it casual not looking too overly done, as if I am trying too hard.

A simple and elegant outfit that is comfortable and I didn't have to compromise on it looking stylish. Loved this outfit and I definitely will be wearing more outfits like this with my trusty old Nike trainers.

What do you think of my weekend OOTD? Do you wear trainers as a fashion accessory? Let me know what you think in the comment box below.
