REVIEW | ORIGINS CLEAR IMPROVEMENT CHARCOAL MASK

I like using masks and I have tried my share of them. Having oily skin I always tend to lean towards clay masks because they actually help clear and unclog my pores from deep within. Moving to Hong Kong made me try a few sheet masks but I never found one that I really liked and I always end up going back to clay masks. One clay mask that I have been enjoying in Bourgese Fango Mud Mask. I have read so may reviews and watched so many YouTube videos about the Origins Clear Improvement Clay Mask but I never bought it because of the high price tag but recently at my local beauty store Bonjour it was half price so I just crab it and headed straight to the cashier. I bought it for HK$150 which is an absolute steal.

As we all know oily skin always leads to clogged pores and a very oily t-zone causing blackheads, whiteheads and the usual breakouts that we all dread. Added to having oily skin I am always the lucky girl whose skin is very sensitive and the slightest change to my usual skincare routine can cause my skin to breakout so I have to be very careful when adding a new skincare product to my routine. Luckily for me my skin so far hasn't yet rejected clay masks so most of my masks are obviously clay based and its the best to clear up my oily t-zone.

This Origins activated charcoal clay mask is one of the most talked about by a lot of bloggers and vloggers so I am a bit late to jump onto the bandwagon but then again here I am. As a first try I just used it mainly on my t-zone area, left is till it got hardened up and then wiped it off with a warm face towel. When the mask was on I felt a slight tingle but nothing too bad and it went off once the clay was drying up. The skin didn't feel uncomfortable or tight once the mask was dried up and neither did it crack while I was trying to take it off. The minute I took it off I noticed such a big difference, my t-zone area looked cleaner and my pores were reduced in size and my t-zone looked the healthiest it has ever been. I felt like my skin had been renewed and cleansed from deep within. Some times after I use it I do get a few white heads but I think that's the mask actually doing whats is supposed to do and clearing my skin. The mask has properties that work together to give you the best looking skin possible. The bamboo charcoal draws out the impurities from deep within to clear up the clogged pores, the white china clay protects the skin from environmental toxins and lecithin dissolves the impurities leaving you with visibly clearer looking and feeling skin.

I use the mask once a week when I give myself an at home spa treatment. The perfect skincare product to have in the summer because my skin gets absolutely oily and humid and pollution in Hong Kong doesn't do wonders for the skin so I tend to break out more often as well. Using thing mask helps my skin breathe and clears it up from deep with so that my pored wont get clogged up. I have to say this has been one of the best clay masks I have ever used, my skin really felt the difference and the benefits and thanked me for it by not breaking out.

I see why everyone seems to love this particular mask and why it has such a steep price tag. Its worth the investment specially if you have oily skin, it really did help me clear up my skin from deep within. It felt refreshed and so much lighter whenever I used the mask. I definitely give this a thumbs up and you need to give this a try if you haven't yet.

Have you used the Origins charcoal activated clay mask? Did you see a difference once you had used it? Let me know what you think in the comment box below.

  3. It should be mixed with lemon juice. The paste should be applied to the face and neck for 10 minutes. It should be washed off with cold water for perfect skin. It is useful to achieve clean and clear skin that glows.
