REVIEW | MAX FACTOR CREME PUFF BLUSH

Blushes and I have a very strained relationship with each other because its very difficult to find shades for my skin tone that I will love right away, have to depend on luck and trial and error. Ever since moving to Hong Kong that struggle has gotten even worse and cant seem to find what I am looking for. I still go to the beauty counters and buy ones that catch my eye hoping that it will look good one me. One blush that I bought like that after reading so many reviews on them was the Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in the shade Alluring Rose. I bought mine from Sasa here in Hong Kong and it cost around HK$68

Lets begin with the basics, the packaging isn't too bad as it comes in a hard plastic case with the transparent cover. I actually quite like that because you can see what it looks like without  needing to open the tester. If you like how it looks you can then test out how the shade is. I liked the two colours of the blush, it looked like a mosaic blusher so you get multiple shades in one blush. The blush has multi tones to it and Alluring Rose is more of a peach and bronze blush with gold speckles in it. As you can see form the swatches, the blush is quite pigmented and shows up on my darker skin tone. It has a super soft feeling to it and is finely milled that is easy to blend with a silky satin finish.

Even though on the swatches the colour shows once I have applied it onto my cheeks it kind of vanished and became more of a highlight than the blush on me, don't get me wrong it looked really pretty but I think my skin tone is a bit too dark for the true colour to show up. The two different tones kind of blended together and became more of a peach shade and was like a sheen on my cheeks. There was a bit of fall off that you have to watch out for but its nothing too drastic and very manageable if you remember to dust off the excess before applying it onto your cheeks. Sadly in Hong Kong there are only two shade available but I was browsing the Max Factor website and found that they have a few more shades and I am eyeing the Gorgeous Berries shade as I think it will suit me better. The blush is a lovely blush for a high-street brand and definitely recommend it. It lasted around 3-4 hours before it kind of vanished on me but I think that it because I have oily skin. The shade is definitely for a more lighter skin toned gal.

A lovely marble tone blush but definitely for some with a lighter skin tone than me because if not it will just be in vain as it will just vanish on your complexion. I think its worth giving a try if you can get your hands on it and they do have 6 different shades to choose from so you will find one that suits you. Have you ever tried the Max Factor creme puff blushes? What was your favourite shade? Let me know what you think in the comment box below.
