REVIEW | KRYOLAN TRANSLUCENT FACE POWDERS

I am a face powder hoarder and I love collecting ones that will keep my makeup looking matte for much longer. I heard about Kryolan when I was training to become a flight stewardess because this was the brand that they recommended when we went through our beauty training. I know its supposed to be makeup for television and theater however I do like their products and I do use their stick foundations and powders. This time I got the Kryolan Translucent Face Powders in the shades TL-1, TL-4 and TL-5

KRYOLAN TRANSLUCENT FACE POWDERS - TL1, TL4 & TL5

Kryolan TL-1 Translucent Face Powder

TL-1 is a white translucent face powder just like any other white face powder. The powder is actually very finely milled and super soft. I bought the white one because its easy to use on most skin colours and as I am a freelance makeup artist its always good to have one in your kit. The powder is very light and a little goes a long way. Once the powder is evenly applied it the colour vanishes and becomes transparent.

Kryolan TL-4 Translucent Face Powder

TL-4 is a yellow based face powders, very similar to the Ben Nye Banana powder. The powder is actually very finely milled and super soft. I got the yellow powder because it suits my skin tone much better and I use it to set my concealer and sometimes as a setting powder as well. Once its blended into the skin is becomes transparent. The powder is very light and a little goes a long way.

Kryolan TL-5 Translucent Face Powder

TL-5 is a brown based face powder some what like a pressed powder. The powder is actually very finely milled and super soft. I wanted a brown face powder that was a close match for my skin tone so that I can use it as a setting powder over my foundation. During the summer this was one product that I reached for quite a bit because its a very light powder and remember a little goes a long way. Once its blended into the skin is becomes transparent. I also use it to set my concealer at times as it a perfect shades for that.

The powders are lovely and I use them quite a bit. They are very light and I mean really soft and easy to blend. I use them quite a bit because they actually keep my makeup looking matte for so much longer and when ever I use it to set my concealer, it keeps it place all day I kid you not. Not one crease, streaks and not flaking away. The powders are super light and I like wearing it during the summer because it doesn't melt away and feel cakey when I'm out in the sun. They yellow shade is perfect for setting concealer because it doesn't give flash backs when photographed and it actually brightens up the area under the eye.

Overall I would say that they are lovely face powders and since they translucent they will match most skin tones as well. I have them in my MUA kit as well just in case. Light feeling when you have used this powder makes it wearable during the summer and actually all year round. I definitely recommend these powders for anyone to use and if you have oily skin like me then you will actually benefit the best. Keeps it matte looking for quite a long time and can be used as a pressed powder as well instead of a foundation because it does have a medium coverage that is build able.

I love the powders and give them two thumbs up. Have you tried any of the Kryolan translucent face powders? Let me know what you think in the comment box below.
