FOTD | A FALL MAKEUP LOOK

Today is the last day of my holiday in the US and I must that I have had a ball visiting San Francisco, Las Vegas and LA. It really was a dream come true and I am going to be planning another trip for sure (I need to save a bit first). As October is coming to an end, I thought this weekend I will share a fall makeup look that I created. Nothing too over the top but I think it will be perfect for a lovely night out or even day time if you tone it down a bit.

A FALL MAKEUP LOOK

First I applied a primer and this time I used the Urban Decay original primer portion all over the eyelids until the brows. My eyelids are very oily so I apply the primer every where that I will be applying eye shadow. I then used a Pupa eye liner pencil in a deep brown just on eyelids as a base for the eye shadows so it will make the shadows more prominent. Blended everything with a flat eye shadow brush.

For this eye makeup look I used the Too Faced Chocolate Bar eye shadow palette. I took the shade semi sweet (medium brown shade) and applied just on the eye lids with the same flat eye shadow brush as before. This will set the primer and eye liner pencil and keep it in place.

I then took the shade triple fudge (dark brown shade) from the palette and used it on the outer corners of the eyes creating a V shape. I blended it with a blending brush but also used the shade milk chocolate (light brown shade) to sweep in to the crease while lending the outer corner. I didn't want the outer corners to be too dark and prominent. I then took another eye shadow from this palette called hazelnut and packed it on to the inner corner of the eyelids. On top of that eye shadow I used the Pupa Ombretto shade shade just in the middle to give it a gradient effect.

I then took the white chocolate eye shadow from the Too Faced palettes and blended everything together until the brow bone.

I lined the top eyelid with the Melini waterproof black liquid eyeliner.

Lined the water line with the Clio gelpresso eyeliner in black and smudged it with a cotton pud to give it a little bit of smokey effect.

I took the triple chocolate eye shadow from the palette that I used on the outer corners and ran it on the lower lash line but very faintly. kind of like a there not there look was what I wanted.

I first did the eye makeup and then did the rest of my makeup. I used the Revlon naked foundation in the shades caramel and cappuccino. I had to mix the two shades to get the perfect match for me. I then applied my concealer which was the NYX HD concealer in nutmeg, my all time favorite at the moment. I set everything with my lovely pressed powder from MAC which was the Careblend Pressed Powder in dark/deep. I next went on to the brows and filled them with the VDL brow pencil in dark brown and set the brows in place with the MAC Pro Longwear Brow Set in brown ebony. I applied the NYX blush in bordeaux on my cheeks to add a bit of colour to the whole look. Finished the look by lining my lips and filling them in with the NYX lip pencil in deep purple and applied the Rimmel lipstick in marshmallow look (21).
The Finished Look

A lovely makeup look to welcome the winter and darker shades for the new season. I love dark lips and dark makeup so for me the winter makeup looks are the best and most fun to create. I went for a small fashion event with a friend and since most people here in Hong Kong get pretty dressed up here in the nights I decided to dress up a bit but still keep it how I like it, bold but subtle.

What do you think of my Fall Makeup Look? is it a good FOTD for a night out? Let me know what you think in the comment box below.
