DISAPPOINTING PRODUCTS #2
Max Factor Face Finity Primer - I am quite big on using face primers because my skin is very oily so I am all for anything that will help with prolonging my makeup. I had read a few good reviews about this primer so O thought that I will give it a try. Sadly it didn't agree with me, maybe because my skin was oily but either way it just didn't perform as I thought it will. My foundation went on very patchy and it was difficult to get an even finish. Half through after wearing the foundation is started feeling like it was getting cakey and just not sitting well.so after giving it a try about twice I have never used it. I just couldn't get it to perform like it for everyone else so if you have oily skin then I will tell you be careful it might make your makeup get blotchy.
Dolly Wink Brow Pencil - Dolly Wink is a very popular brand here in Hong Kong and Asia. They have a wide range of makeup but are very famous for their lashes. Once I read a few reviews about their products I thought since I am living here I should give it ago. I bought the brow pencil to be safe because you cant really go that wrong with a brow pencil. I got the darkest brown pencil they had. The pencils come with a spoolie at the end of the pencil so its really easy to groom your brows. Sadly the pencil was just not pigmented enough and was not showing up. It was difficult for me to get the product out because the pencil was very dry. I tried holding it under the blow drier and heating it a bit but it still didn't perform well. So I gave up and actually could never use it even once. So I would suggest staying clear from their brow pencils, not so great.
Maybelline Fashionbrow Duo Shaper - This was quite different to your regular brow pencil because at one end you have the usual bro pencil and at the other end it had a powdered tip. So what your supposed to do is shape and fill your brows with the pencil end and then finish off the brows with sealing it in place with the brow powder that is supposed to be like a gel. I was very disappointed, the pencil was a very hard texture and did have enough colour payoff and the powder was just not coming out well. I really didnt get the whole point of the powder being on one end, it didnt do anything. Overall I think it was a waste of time and money because it under performed very badly. Will not be using it again.
I hope these mini reviews will help you next time your thinking of buying any of the skincare products I have mentioned. The best results would be if you have normal to dry skin and if you have oily skin, you might experience shine and your skin might get oilier so be careful.
