SUMMER HAIR CARE SERIES PART 3 - WEEKEND HAIR
Straight hair is the easiest and quickest hair style on a busy weekend. All you have to do is run your hair through a hair straightener or rough blow dry. However if you opt for straight hair the best option would be to use a few drops of dry hair oil through your damp hair instead of traditional hair gel and then blow dry it. The regular hair gel tends to stiffen up your hair and give it kind of a helmet hair look.
I have seen quite a few low ponytails on the runway and they look so sleek and neat so the trick is to comb your hair through and part it in the middle and tie it at the nape of your neck with an elastic. To cover up the elastic, wrap a small amount of hair around the elastic and secure it with a pin. To create a smooth and sleek look run a flat iron over the tail of the ponytail.
The topknot it something we all love and one hair style that is very easy to recreate. It creates a very sophisticated look and is even perfect for work. To create a little of texture to the usual topknot, spray your hair with volumizing spray and start scrunching, then tie it up in a sleek ponytail and start moulding and pinning it into a bun. This creates a very modern look.
TIPS AND TRICKS
Most often than not when we finally achieve the perfect hair style, we then have to deal with flyaways and frizz, hello hair halo. The best trick is to spray a little bit of hair spray onto a clean tooth brush and flatten the frizz out. You'll get a clean and smooth finish to your style. This way you can also avoid the matted down look you will usually get when you directly spray hair spray onto your hair.
Easy hair styles for the weekend, sometime we can get busy with other things and styling your hair is the last thing on your mind. The summer heat can make our hair a bit difficult to handle and style so I hope you find these styles and tips helpful for your next weekend outing.
