Ever since I started my training as a makeup artist and learnt how to do fill eyebrows, I have been a junkie collecting brow pencils. I love filling my brows and never leave my house without filling my eye brows or at least I try to.

Eye brows shape you and frame your face and gives definition to your whole look so its very important you fill them. Lots of people tend to neglect brows but don't do that, you start seeing the difference once you start filling them and you will never forget to do your brows. Remember that your eye brows are twins but more like sisters so you cant get perfectly shaped brows, that's where brow pencils come in, you can create the illusion that you have thick, fuller and perfect eye brows.

Today I have a brow pencil from Revlon. I bought the Revlon Colorstay Brow Liner in the shade Dark Brown and I bought it from Sasa for HK$98. I cant seem to find it on any website unfortunately.

As you can see from the pictures the brow pencil has a spoolie at one end of the pencil. The brow pencil is a the twist up kind so you don't have to worry about sharpening it or breaking the tip off. The shade is perfect and suits my brows as I do have black eyebrows so I always tend to buy dark brow brow pencils. In the picture it looks very pigmented but I had to go over it a couple of time to really appear.

This brow pencil is angled so its very easy to shape and fill the brows as that angle helps to give a more natural look. The spoolie is perfect smoothen everything out and soften the brows. The brows pencil has a semi matte texture. The brow pencil needs you to apply it with a heavy hand but there is relatively good colour pay off.

It does take a bit of effort to fill the brows because it has a semi matte texture, not that its very difficult. It does give a smooth and clean application. Since there isn't extreme colour pay off, its gives a very natural look to your brows and I love it. I especially love using it in the day time for a more casual look. When it comes to wear time, it lasted around 3-4 hours before I noticed it wearing off so it wont last all day long. I usually apply a brow gel to set everything place and that way it lasts much longer.

This brow liner isn't the best but for the price and as its a high-street brand, its relatively good and if you want more natural looking brows then this is a good option. I don't reach for this all the time but on those day s you feel lazy to wear any makeup or if your going for a casual look, I then tend to reach for this brow pencil.

Have you ever used the Revlon colorstay brow liner? Do you fill your eyebrows all the time like I do? What is your go to brow pencil? Let me know what you think in the comment box below.
