NOTD | ORLY RAPTURE

A deep blood/muddy maroon nail polish is something I wear throughout the year. They look really nice on my nails and go really well with my skin tone. This week I tried the brand Orly for the first time and I have to say that I was quite impressed with this brand of nail polish. I bought the nail polish in Rapture from Kiss Beauty Boutique here in Hong Kong. If I am not mistaken it cost me HK$135 if I am not mistaken.

Let me start by saying that the nail polish handle is much longer than other nail polish wands and so much easier to manurer because of it. The brush is small and makes applying nail polish in the corners easier. The nail polish itself is a bit thicker  and one coat is more than enough but I still like to apply two coats.

The nail polish does take a bit longer to dry so you will have to wait awhile in between the two coats. it doesn't really have a shine so I apply a top coat that does have a  bit of a shine. The nail polish looks amazing even on my feet and the best part is this nail polish last 5 days on my nails with minimum chipping. This has never happened and frankly it took me by surprise. we don't have a dishwasher so my hands come in contact with a lot of water and yet the nail polish lasted 5 days. Very very impressive and I will be definitely buying even more from this brand.

I love this shade, its in between a dark brown and maroon and lasts forever. Definitely need to get your hands on it if you have not already.

So this my NOTD for this week, a very wearable colour be it day or night. What do you think of my NOTD? Do you wear bold colours during summer? Let me know what you think in the comment box below.
