REAL TECHNIQUES CORE COLLECTION

There are some amazing makeup brushes out there if you are willing to pay a bit more but not everyone can and some times its just not worth it. When it comes to finding quality makeup brushes on a budget there is no one better than Pixiwoo with their amazing makeup brush line Real Techniques. I have a few of their collections and recently did a review of their starter collection that you can catch HERE. Today I have another of their collections and its the Core Collection. The core collection makeup brushes are mainly face brushes so that will help you achieve the perfect canvas. I bought mine from Boots in the UK but if you live in Hong Kong you can buy it from Hakme Beauty, UK2HK and Dudes.

REAL TECHNIQUES CORE COLLECTION
L to R - Contour Brush, Pointed Foundation Brush, Detailer Brush and Buffing Brush.

The collection consists of four makeup brushes and a lovely case that can be turned into a makeup brush stand. The brushes that come in this set are the contour brush, pointed foundation brush, detailer brush and buffing brush. Let me start by saying that I love the colours of the makeup brushes, quite different to your plain black makeup brushes that most are made of. Lets taker closer look at each brush individually.

Contour Brush

The bristles are super soft and picks up product easily. The size of the handle makes it easy to hold and manurer. This contour brush is the perfect size for contouring, t just fits right under your cheek bones. It blends product easily and gives a flawless finish. I also like to use this brush with powder to set my concealer. The shape of the brush is perfect for the under eye area.

Pointed Foundation Brush

The bristles are super soft and picks up product easily. The size of the handle makes it easy to hold and manurer. The size is perfect for precise application as you can get your foundation in hard to reach places like around the nose and under the eye area. I also use it to apply concealer on my clients as its much easier to apply because this brush is a bit wider than a regular concealer brush.

Detailer Brush

As you can see from the picture I use this mainly to apply lipstick and lip gloss. Its the perfect size with a narrow tip which makes lining lips with product very easy. The bristles are super soft and picks up product easily. The size of the handle makes it easy to hold and manurer. I also use this brush to do spot concealing as its a smaller brush you can get a precise application just where you want it. Hiding those pesky spots couldn't get any easier.

Buffing Brush

My favourite brush from the whole collection. It makes applying your foundation so much easier. I also use it on my clients. The bristles are super soft and picks up product easily. The size of the handle makes it easy to hold and manurer. when used with liquid foundation, you will get a flawless full coverage without any streaks or patches. The products blends incredibly easily and fast into the skin. You can use it with powder foundations as well as I some times use it to apply my pressed powders. The flatter top makes it easier to get a precise application.

These brushes are just amazing and I two sets of this. Applying makeup whether its on yourself or a clients is so much easier with these brushes because you don't have to work hard at creating a flawless look. The bristles pick up product with ease and blends with ease. Washing the brushes are simple as well, you can either do a spot cleaning as the makeup comes off very easily or you can do deep cleanse. Whatever method you use the bristles wont fall off or get out of shape. These brushes dry up incredibly fast so you can wash them over night and they will be try the next day.

These brushes come for a specific application but I use them for various other things as well. you can use the buffing brush to apply blushes as well and the contour brush to set concealer. Either way the are very multifunctional so you feel like your getting more than just four brushes.

The quality amazing and what's even better is that the prices are so reasonable. These are definitely worth investing your money in and you will not be disappointed at all. They are perfect to have in your collection to use for yourself or even as a makeup artist.
