MY CURRENT BROW KITS

As a makeup artist you need to have a variety of different eye brow powders and pencils because obviously not everyone has brows that are the same colour. I like to have a few different colours with me so that I can mix and match and find the perfect shade for them. However before I use them on my clients I test them out and use them as well so that I know they will perform really well. At the moment the two brow kits I am using at the moment are the Collection 2000 Brow Kit and the Makeup Revolution Focus & Fix Eyebrow Shaping Kit. I bought them from Superdrug in the UK and the Collection 2000 brow kit cost £3.99 and the Makeup Revolution brow kit cost £2.50

Sorry the brow kits are looking a bit banged up because I have been carrying it in my MUA kit and it has been used quite heavily. I got palettes that have a few dark and light shades so that then I can even use them on lighter brows and darker brows. If not I will have to be carrying so many different brow powders and then my kit becomes even heavier.

COLLECTION 2000 BROW KIT - BLONDE

I got the brow kit Blonde that has a mix of dark and light shades and is quite versatile I think. I use this brow kit as well and I have dark brows. As you can see from the picture the powders are very pigmented and has a velvet texture to it. The powders can get quite powdery so you definitely need to watch out for that and be careful of fall off. Always dust off the excess if not it will be all over the face. I mix the first two colours when I use it on myself. The first shade looks a black but its more of a deep charcoal brown. The lasting power is really great, It does last all day. The powders are easy to mix and use on the brows as its quite easy to apply and fill in the gaps. I love using this brow kit and it the most used out of the two. The brush that comes with it hasn't been used as I prefer to use my own angled makeup brush. There is a small mirror as well which is good for travel and on the go in case you need to touch up.

The kit comes with a clear brow gel as well to use it to set the brows in place after using the powder. The gel isn't really that great and I hardly use it. The gel itself I feel is a bit heavy and doesn't really lock in the brows in place. Its always good to have an extra one for when you forget your usual one. It can happen and has happened to me. I don't use it but keep it though for those emergency moments.

I got the brow kit Medium to Dark that has a mix of dark and light shades. I use this brow kit on myself as well.. As you can see from the picture the powders are quite pigmented and has a soft, smooth texture to it. The kit is meant for darker brows but I feel it will suit lighter brows as well as the brow powders aren't that dark. The powders can get quite powdery so you definitely need to watch out for that and be careful of the excess fall off. Always dust off the excess if not it will be all over the face. I mix the two darkest colours when I use it on myself. The lasting power is great, It will last about 4 to 5 hours if I use the wax that comes with it, if not around 3 hours.

The wax is really good and I use it with other brow products as well. Its easy to use and goes on without clumping the brows. The powders are easy to mix and use on the brows as its quite easy to apply and fill in the gaps. This kit is the least used unless I have a client with lighter brows. The brush that comes with it is quite good and I have used it. There is a mirror as well which is good for travel and on the go in case you need to touch up.

Relatively if your thinking, they aren't the best but I would say they are quite good for the price your paying. I do use MAC eye shadows and brow pencils as well. These kits have helped me to groom different brows and I will always have them in my kits. If your thinking of try a bro kit I definitely recommend these two but my favourite is the Collection 2000 one.

Have you used any of these brow kits? What did you think of them? Let me know in the comment box below.
