REVIEW | PUPA EYE SHADOW PALETTES

Pupa is an Italian makeup brand that I came across after I moved to Hong Kong. They have a wide range of makeup ranging from foundation, eye shadows, lip products and even nail polish. If you live in Hong Kong you can buy Pupa makeup from Sasa as it is only available there. The eye shadow palettes I bought were the Pupart Pocket Eye Shadow Palettes (similar palette), that were limited editions during winter. I got the palettes 001 a blue black smokey eye palettes and 003 maroon smokey eye palette.

A perfect smokey eye palette for a night out. The packaging is so compact and travel friendly that can be taken out even on a night out in your purse. The palette did come with the usual eye shadow brush but I threw it out as I never use them and  its much better to do use a good eye shadow brush. It cost around HK$100 if I am not mistaken. As you can see from the pictures the eye shadows are very pigmented and creamy. The only thing you will need to watch out for is excess fall out so always remember to tap off the excess if not you might get panda eyes. You can get three different looks from this palette and blue, black and even silver smokey eye. So just not one look but multiple looks from just 5 eye shadows.

This is a good palette for the day time and you can even use it in the night if you want. You can different looks from the palette as you have lighter and more nude shades, so it is versatile. It cost around HK$100 if I am not mistaken. The packaging is so compact and travel friendly that it fit in  your purse. The palette did come with the usual eye shadow brush but I threw it out as I never use them and  its much better to do use a good eye shadow brush. This palette is very pigmented and the shadows are creamy as well. Unfortunately this palette also has shadow fall out when using the eye shadows so be careful of panda eyes. You can get a more day time appropriate look and then use the darker maroon colour to deepen the look for a night out so you can take the look from day to night with this palette, which comes handy when your going from work to drinks in the night.

Both palettes are very travel friendly and very versatile that you can get many different eye makeup looks from the palettes. With a primer you can get between 4-5 hours of wear time depending on how oily your eye lids get. Without a primer I roughly get about 3 hours of wear time I would say as my eye lids are very oily. It will be different for you if you don't have oily lids and don't need an eye primer as well.  I love taking these palettes when I travel on holiday for a few days so you don't need to take a lot of products.

I have only tried these two products from Pupa but definitely recommend their eye shadows and will be definitely buying a few more shadows to add to my collection. So I highly recommend that you try them out if you can get your hands on this brand.

Have you heard of the brand Pupa? If you have which products have you tried? Let me know what you think in the comment box below.
