REVIEW | L'OREAL TRUE MATCH

As I have mentioned before, I find it very difficult to find foundations that my skin tone in Hong Kong so when I get the opportunity to get a few products from abroad I jumped at and this is exactly what happened when my friend was travelling to the UK. I asked her to get my the L'oreal True Match Foundation in Cappuccino. It is a good match for my skin tone and I cant find that shade here in Hong Kong. I got this shade as a lot of fellow bloggers have given good reviews so I was intrigued and even J-Lo's makeup artist uses this on her so I just had to get my hands on it. She ordered it online from Amazon as it was not available in stores. On Amazon it costs around £8 to £9 which is reasonable and since I couldn't find it any where else I was fine. You can buy the lighter shades here in Hong Kong at any Sasa, Bonjour, Watson or Mannings store.

The foundation has a very light and creamy texture to it and that makes the blending very easy. I usually use a makeup brush and my go to is the Sigma F80 at the moment. With this brush you can actually buff the product really well into the skin and gives a very smooth finish. The foundation did give a medium coverage and I only needed to use concealer under my eyes and around my nose and mouth, so I didn't need to use a lot of concealer, this way the base isn't very heavy.

I did notice however that I didn't get a long wear time as my skin is very oily and so I was able to get between 3 to 4 hours of wear time. I did set the makeup with a setting powder and once I noticed the shine I did touch with a powder and the foundation didn't get cakey for patchy. Which is good but I still use a blotting paper to take the excess oil away and then add the powder, this way it lasts longer.

The foundation was light and easy to blend with a relatively good coverage. Even though I didn't get a lot of wear time I still love this foundation because as much as it gives a smooth finish it also looks as if I have used an high end foundation and kind of gives a very air brushed effect to it. I will definitely be repurchasing it when I do run out so I highly recommend this for you to try out if you haven't already.

I hope this review has helped you in a decision when you go to choose your next foundation. Have you tried this foundation by L'oreal? Let me know what you think in the comment box below.
