MY UPDATED MORNING SKINCARE ROUTINE

Warmer weather means that my skin tends to become much oilier and tends to have a few break outs as well. This is when I switch much lighter based products and switch my skincare so that it can tackle the oiliness and keep it looking matte during the day for longer. My skincare routine during winter is a bit different which you can catch HERE.

UPDATED MORNING SKINCARE ROUTINE

UPDATED MORNING SKINCARE ROUTINE

1. Cleansing - This is my all time favourite cleanser that I always tend to come back to no matter what and specially in summer because my skin reacts and I break out. The Clarins Cleansing Milk always calms my skin down and keeps it under control. I am using the one suitable for combination to oily skin. It is a cleansing milk that is very light and gentle on the skin. My face feels super clean when ever I use it. I definitely recommend this a 100% for anyone with troubled skin. I use a muslin cloth soaked in warm water to remove the cleanser that way it kind of like an exfoliate as well.

2. Toner - At the moment I am using the Clinique Clarifying Lotion as my toner. I have poured it into anther bottle with a dispense pump as this makes it much easier to use it. It does have alcohol so if you don't mind that then you will like it if not it is a bit strong. I use it when I feel that my skin is about to break out and then it kind of calms it down. I recently figured this out so I kind of have been enjoying use it. I have done a full review HERE

3. Eye Cream - I have been loving eye creams and always use it as I have noticed a big difference after I have added it to my routine. At the moment I have been using the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Roll On. its easy to use and does help with tired eyes and dark circles. There is a review if you like HERE with all the details. It is a light weight gel type eye cream that reduced dark circles and brightens the eye area if you haven't got a good nights sleep.

4. Serum - As I have a few spots I have switched to a serum that helps to reduce dark spots and even the skin out. I am using the L'oreal White Perfect Laser Essence. I have a full review if you like to read it HERE. It is a light weight non sticky serum that gets absorbed quite fast into the skin. I have noticed a difference in my skin where the dark spots have gotten lighter and my complexion also has gotten lighter. Its a nice addition to my routine that I have been enjoying and if you have spots then give this a try.

5. Moisturizer - I have been using two types of moisturizers. The first is the L'oreal Hydra Fresh, My full review is HERE and the other one is the Avene Cleanance K Cream Gel. The L'oreal Hydra Fresh is awesome for oily skin, it will keep it matte for around 6 hours with an issue. It is light weight and has a cooling effect on the skin when you apply it I love using it when I have to go out on hot days. The Avene Cleanance K is an exfoliating Cream that you need to use once a day. It is light weight and doesn't feel greasy. It doesn't however keep the skin  matte for as long as the L'oreal one but a good choice to use maybe once or twice a week.

6. Micellar Water - I use this if feel my skin is feeling a bit oilier that day after I have gotten out of the shower before applying my toner. I feel that it does help a bit to keep the greasiness at bay a bit longer. I also use it to remove my makeup before using my cleanser that you kind of get a double cleansing. It is a good alternative as well if you run out of your regular cleanser. I did a full review that you can read HERE

So that is my new skincare routine that I have been adhering to when the weather gets warmer. I prefer light weight products that help to keep my skin under control and stop it from breaking out in summer. Most of the time I tend to use the Clarins cleanser throughout the year but switch all the products up a bit s my skin will look more matte and less oily.

Do you switch products for each season or do you stick the same throughout the year? Let me know what you think in the comment box below.
