REVIEW | BIODERMA MICELLAR CLEANSING WATER

I love using micellar waters as a pre cleanse whenever I have worn makeup. That way when I actually start cleansing I can massage my skin and do a proper cleanse without wanting the cleanser to help me take the makeup off. This was one of the first micellar waters that I tried after reading so many amazing reviews. I got the Bioderma Micellar Cleansing Water for Combination/Oily skin. I bought it from Colormix here in Hong Kong for HK$150 if I am not mistaken. If was on offer so I can’t really remember how much it actually costs.

Well the packaging isn’t much but you can get the mini versions that are perfect for when you have to travel. The cleansing water itself is a slight green and when you do put it onto a cotton pad you can see that it does have a slight colour to it but nothing to worry it doesn’t stain the skin or anything like that.

It does have a slight fragrance but nothing too over powering and it didn't bother me at all. what I did notice is that it did have slight oil base feeling to it when you use it to cleanse your face. It is very gentle and didn't irritate my skin at all. I did notice however that it didn't remove all the makeup that easily. Specially when it came to mascara, I had to like really rub at it to get it off. As I mentioned before I like to use the micellar water as pre cleanse so when I actually start cleansing most of the makeup will be gone. The Bioderma one didn't really take off all the makeup but it was nice to use and when I used it after going out and coming to cleanse my face, it did give a fresh feeling and my face did feel clean. I also use it on my clients to refresh their complexion before I do their makeup as that way I have a clean and fresh base to apply the makeup.

Overall it is a good substitute to use during the day if like me you have oily skin and over washing your face can do harm more than good. I also like to use it to remove my makeup and the best part its gentle on my skin and didn't irritate it. This is the second bottle that I have bought so I do really like it and recommend it for you as well.

Have you tried any of the Bioderma Micellar Waters? Do you use micellar water and which is your favourite? Let me know what you think in the comment box below.

    1. I use the Garnier one too. It is expensive here in Hong Kong as well except I wait for offers and then stock up on a few
