REVIEW | ST IVES APRICOT FACE SCRUB

When I choose products to use on my skin I need to be extremely careful as I do break out if it doesn't agree with my sensitive plus oily skin. This way I know when I need to change a product or stop using it. I try a product for a couple days even after I have broken out to see if it will subside or get worse as sometimes after the first of using a particular skincare product my skin gets back to normal so I need to double check if it will subside or what. I know some of you might not agree with me but I do like to push it a bit because having sensitive skin and oily skin care sometimes restrict you from using a wide range of skincare products. The St.Ives Apricot Face Scrub is one product I swear by and has become quite a holy grail to me. I usually break out if a face scrub is too rough and has quite big large granules. This however has agreed with my skin and has become one of my go to products that I keep repurchasing every time I run out.

Apricot has a lot of benefits for the skin like helping fight blemishes, removes blackheads and also aids in moisturizing the skin. So this St.Ives Apricot Face Scrub is supposed to control blemishes, remove blackheads as well as minimize pores. If you live in Hong Kong you can but this at most supermarkets or at any Watsons, Bonjour, Mannings and Sasa. It cost around HK$39.99 as it is on sale at the moment.

Over exfoliating can be quite harsh on the skin so you need to be careful and choose one that will be gentle and not scrape the skin in the process. You also need to remember not to over do it as this can expose your bare skin to external environment that can cause harm. Exfoliate maybe once a week and use gentle circular motions is the areas that really need it. I use the face scrub in my T-Zone and on the apples of my cheeks. This way my skin doesn't break out as I have not over exfoliated. The granules even though in the picture it looks a bit harsh it is actually very soft and small and isn't harsh on the skin at all.

I have been using this scrub for a very long time and it does help to get rid of dead skin and blackheads. I cant really say if it helped me fight blemishes because my skin is very sensitive and sometimes with weather changes I break out so not really sure if it helped. No matter what scrub I use I always tend to go back to this and always have one in the bathroom. It does help with my oily skin as in I didn't break out after using this. I did notice however that my skin also always looks brighter after every use.

If you have sensitive skin and you are looking for a gentle face scrub that will not be too harsh then I suggest you give this a try as I definitely recommend this. Have you used this St.Ives Apricot Face Scrub? Let me know what you think in the comment box below.
