REVIEW | NO 07 PERFECT LIGHT PRESSED POWDER

During summer and the warmer months I like to stick to products that will give me a matte finish and have less shine, so I tend to use more powder based products like pressed powder foundations. One of my go to products is the NO 07 Perfect Light Pressed Powder in the shade Dark. I bought this from the Boots in the UK for £11.50

The packaging is actually really nice and it  comes with a relatively big mirror as well so it comes in handy when you travel or on the go. It is a bit bulky but nothing too over the top and does fit most makeup pouches and most clutch bags. It does come with a small makeup sponge but I don't use it at all and instead use my own powder brush or a kabuki brush. That way you get a smoother finish when you apply the powder.

The product is described as "No7 Perfect Light Pressed Powder Ultra fine, velvety soft and airy, this light diffusing powder blends evenly onto skin, reflecting light to smooth and disguise flaws for a perfectly, radiant finish with Vitamin E and Pro-vitamin B5 to care and condition and Hyaluronic acid to help keep the skin hydrated"

I must say that the powder does have a very light texture to it and does give an even smooth finish and has a subtle coverage when it comes to blemishes and dark circles. I would completely rely solely on this as I always do use a concealer before hand. One of the biggest issues I have is that it does tend to get quite powdery when swirling your brush around to get the product so you need to tap off the excess if not there will be a bit of fall off and you might get too much product on your face. Its always better to add later on if you need more.

As you can see in the swatches the shade seems a bit to light for me but once applied it does blend well with my skin tone. My does have a matte finish and it will last around 3-4 hours I would say but it all depends on the weather and how hot and humid it is. You can retouch during the day and it doesn't get cakey or feel too heavy at all. Actually it feels very light and does give a very natural look to your complexion. After using it my skin didn't feel dried out nor did it feel extra hydrated and that could be because I have oily skin. I guess if you have dry skin you would feel the benefit of it much better.

I really enjoy using this product and switch between my MAC Studio Fix during summer, depending on the occasion and coverage I need. I would definitely recommend this product as it does give a natural finish with a medium coverage. If like me you have oily skin touch ups during the day will not make you look cakey or as if you have piled on a lot of products. So you can have matte look through out the day.
