REVIEW | M.A.C STUDIO FIX

I don't have to give anyone an introduction for MAC as we all know how amazing their products can be and everyone world over loves them. That doesn't mean that don't have products that don't fit the mark, I personally haven't found one yet so fingers crossed I wont.

Today I have with me MAC's Studio Fix in NW40 which is a pressed powder foundation. As I mentioned before in my previous post these are most reached for during the hotter periods of the year. I Hong Kong it can get quite humid and my face tends to gets really oily and so I try to avoid the liquid formulas unless its for an occasion. So on a day to day basis I stick with the pressed powders.

I bought the Studio Fix when I was visiting Dubai and cant really remember how much it cost but on the website it says it costs £21.50. The packaging is very basic the usual type of packaging that MAC usually has. It does come with a makeup sponge but I don't use it and prefer using it with a powder brush or a kabuki brush as it gives a much smoother finish. It is travel friendly and has a big mirror as well for those of us that need it for on the go. Fits in most makeup bags and small bags so easy to use on a night out.

The shade is actually a good match to my skin tone as I am not so lucky here in Hong Kong as they don't have darker shades and it can get quite frustrating. The powder has a very light texture to it and gives a smooth finish. It isn't really powdery so there isn't a lot of fall off but I would suggest tapping off the excess as its always better to add more product later than it is to take off.

You will get a medium to full coverage I would say and that way I can skip concealer sometimes because it does get hot here and I just feel like taking everything off sometimes. I usually get between 3-5 hours before I start seeing shine on my T-Zone, but it all depends on the weather that day. The powder does feel light and I have done touch ups through out the day and it doesn't feel to heavy or cakey or as if you have too much makeup on.

I have used this for occasions but I do use a concealer before hand and it does give good coverage and has the same effect of if you wore foundation. I have used quite a few of this product and keep repurchasing it over and over. It is a good handy product to have with you. So I will definitely recommend this to you and you should definitely have one with you, specially if you have oily skin like me.

So have you used the MAC Studio Fix yet? Let me know what you think in the comment box below.
