Recently I wanted to go for a manicure and wanted to go to a place close by as I was a bit lazy to travel towards the city so I walked around my area and came across a small local nail salon. They seemed to be busy and was very popular among the locals so I thought I will give it a try. Needless to say the nail technician couldn't speak English and there was a miscommunication and I ended up with gel nails similar to shellac. I thought I was going to get a manicure so I chose a red colour nail polish and was quite happy. Long story short I was happy with the result even though it wasn't what I wanted.

The picture was taken a week after my nails were done and there was no chipping or any thing of the sort, just except that you can see that my nail has grown and there is a gap. The whole process took about 45 minutes as you have to old it under a UV light for the polish to dry up.They were really nice even though we couldn't really communicate well and I couldn't tell them I just wanted a manicure.

I had never tried the Gel Polish before and was very impressed. My nails came in contact with water very often and still it didn't chip or get lose so I think I will be trying this out for sure again. its been over 2 weeks and only now can I see a bit of chipping so time for a change.

Have you tried Gel Nail Polish before? What do you think of it? Let me know in the comment box below.
