REVIEW | NYX ROUGE CREAM BLUSH

I do like a good blusher and most of the time I have to wear darker shades as I am obviously on the darker side. I did however learn that using a cream blusher as a base works really well when you have a oily skin. The powder blusher lasts much longer, its also nice if you just want a touch of colour on your cheeks to show as if you naturally have flushes cheeks.

I had been looking around for a cream blusher for my Makeup Exam because I needed one that would show as well as blend really well on my model. I had 30 minutes to do a full face of makeup so I could risk the blusher not blending well that would have made the powder blush all cakey. In comes the NYX Rouge Cream Blush in Tea Rose.

A subtle pink that is more like a medium beige pink. It has a sheer wash of radiant colour that is easy to blend and absolutely creamy. I bought this for around 10 Australian Dollars but if you do live in Hong Kong they do have an outlet that you can buy it from.

As you can see even in the pictures they look really creamy and soft. I chose this colour because it was not too over powering once worn on the cheeks even though it is very pigmented. Once you have applied a bit on the cheeks, that's all you need a few dots on your cheek bones is enough to give colour, blending it really easy. You can either use your finger or I like to use a stippling brush as it gives more control and gives an airbrushed effect. The blush does last about 3-4 hours if worn by itself but if you wear it as a base it lasts between 4 to 5 hours depending on your skin type. If you have oily skin like me I would say roughly 4 hours but if you have Normal to Dry Skin then it will last you much longer. I did apply it on my model and her skin was on the much drier side and it didn't flake or make the powder blusher patchy.

Overall it was a good first impression for a cream blush, as I had not used any before. it was pigmented enough to wear alone and you can deepen the intensity of the colour if you are not going to wear a powder blush on top. Which ever way you decide to wear the blusher it wont disappoint you. They do have quite a few different choices to choose from so there will an option for everyone. I will be buying a few more colours for myself as well and to use on my clients as well. So I suggest you buy one and give it ago.

Have you ever tried any of the NYX Rouge Cream Blushers? I would like to hear your thoughts on it
