When I was going back home for a small break I was browsing the Cathay Pacific on-board duty free magazine and came across 9 Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Cubes box set. I knew I had to get my hands on it right away. It cost HK$390 and available on all Cathay Pacific flights.

You really cant say what the real colours of the lipstick would turn out to be because you cannot test them out before you buy them, still I thought it was a good deal and took the risk and bought them. In Hong Kong a Revlon lipstick normally costs around HK$100 where as here you get 9 lipsticks for just a mere HK$390 which is a real steal.

You get a few nude shades, pink shades and the reds. Most of the lipsticks have a pearl finish and 2 have a crème finish to them.

Revlon is known for making good quality affordable makeup and they didn't fall short this time.

The pearl finish lipsticks are nice and soft and glide on the lips without as issue. Even though it says pearl finish they aren't too shiny and way out there and can be worn during the day and night. The lipsticks didn't feel heavy on the lips. I didn't notice any bleeding of the lips and the lipstick melting. I would recommend though that you line the lips with a lip liner if you can, that way they will last much longer as well. The pearl finish lipsticks lasted a bit less than the crème finish lipsticks. However they did last about 4-5 hours if you don't eat or drink anything during that time period. After a meal they did wear off significantly which happens to most lipsticks.

The two lipsticks are Rum Raisin and Love That Red that have a crème finish. They are most like a semi-matte finish lipstick. They didn't feel heavy on the lips or uncomfortable and glided with ease on the lips. The lipsticks didn't bleed as well during the day. As I mentioned before I would recommend lining the lips with a lip liner. These two lipsticks lasted a bit longer and after a meal they didn't wear off as much as the pearl finish lipsticks. They did last around the same time as the pear finish lipsticks which was about 4-5hours but the only difference is that when they started wearing off it wasn't as noticeable as the rest.

Out of all the lipsticks I am less likely to wear is the Champagne on Ice, Softsilver Rose and Love that Red as I feel they look the least flattering on me.

This box set is a good collection to have as you get a variety of colours and they are wonderful lipsticks to wear. They double up and you can wear them during the day and night which is always good because you get more wear out of them that way.

I would recommend Revlon lipsticks any time as they have some of my favourite lipsticks of all time. This would even be a good gift for someone so if you ever travel Cathay Pacific I would recommend you pick this up if you can.

What do you think of Revlon lipsticks?
