REVIEW | MAX FACTOR FACE FINITY PRIMER

Max Factor is known for affordable good quality makeup. I especially love their mascara's and swear by them dearly. I swear by primers because if I don’t my skin becomes extremely oily very fast. As much as I swear by primers it's very difficult to find a good one that will keep my skin matte throughout the day. My need for a primer is basic, to keep my foundation in place for as long as I can without the need of retouching throughout the day. Most primers today have a specific purpose and claim to do so many different things but only a few deliver. Now let's see what kind of primers are available and what they are supposed to do. There are Cream based face primers, Lotion based primers and Silicone based primers which are the most popular today. The Max Factor primer is a lotion based primer.

The packaging as you can see is very basic and comes in a glass bottle that has a pump. I actually like the pump because you don't waste the product and you don't take too much out as well. The primer cost HK$110 and you can buy it at any local sasa or Watsons.

The product itself is a very light based lotion that feels very soft on the skin. The primers did feel a bit oily and greasy when I applied it on the skin which could be due to the fact that I have oily skin. It didn't feel heavy or uncomfortable on the skin once I had applied it. The issue how ever is that I found it hard to apply my foundation on top of it. My foundation was creasing and was not applying smoothly, it became all clumpy and chunky. It could be due to the fact that my skin is oily and it would better suit skin that is much drier as it did make my skin look a bit greasy and felt a bit oily looking.

I was very disappointed after using this product as I read a few good reviews and was very excited to use this product. Sadly I will not be buying this product again and I wouldn't really recommend this but you can give it a try because not everyone will have the same experience.I would suggest though that if you have dry skin to give this a try though the primer is supposed to suit all skin types.

Let me know if you will give this a try and if you have ever tried the primer.
