Not only during winter time but throughout the year I prefer to wear darker shades as I am more towards the darker skin tone. I have been loving Plum Shades, Berry Shades, Deep Reds and shades towards these tones. I do like the nude shades and the more brown toned lipsticks as well. Today I have a lipstick by Clio called Blackout Red. It is more of a deep cherry colour. You can buy this from any local Watsons and Harbour City Ocean Terminal.

The lipstick is a cream sheen type lipstick, but not too creamy but just the right texture that I like. I don't like when its too soft because the lipstick tends to bleeds on my lips. The lipstick is very pigmented but doesn't last all day. You will have to reapply the lipstick at some point. It did last around 4 hours on me before I noticed the lipstick starting to wear off. There was no bleeding of the lipstick but I do like to wear a lip liner first and this intensifies the colour.

The lipstick didn't make my lips dry and it wasn't uncomfortable on the lips. It felt very light as if I wasn't wearing anything on my lips. The packaging is very basic nothing much to talk about. The only thing is that there is a print on the cover and the holder that makes it a bit unique. It is made from good quality and doesn't have a cheap look to it.

The colour is perfect for winter and I will be wearing it not only in winter but throughout the year.

This colour goes well with my skin tone as I don't wear very bright reds on my lips but this is a good alternative colour for me. So I will be repurchasing this for sure when I run out. I can see why this brand is very popular as you do get good quality makeup for an affordable price.

Do you wear red lipstick and if you do when do you wear them?
