As I have mention before on this post HERE, it is important to wear a good lip liner before you wear your favourite lipstick. This way you can get more out of your lipstick and the wear time will be prolonged. Today I am going to talk about a lip liner that I have been loving immensely and have been using it quite a lot. It’s the Etude House soft touch lip liner in Deep Red called #4.

The packaging of the lip liner is surprisingly nice, it comes in a sleek pen like package and you need to twist it to get the product out which means you don’t need to sharpen the product and there is no wastage of the lip liner. The packaging doesn’t look cheap which always a good thing especially when it’s a high street product. It isn't expensive and cost HK$20  and can be bought at any local Etude House store HERE

When it comes to application it is actually amazing, the product glides over the lips and is easy to line the lips. It is very pigmented and can even be worn by itself without a lipstick. You just need to add a clear gloss over it and your good to go. The lip liner has a soft creamy texture to it (that isn't too soft that it spreads past the outline of the lips) with a matte finish.  I like having a matte finish because it lasts longer and the lipstick lasts longer as well. I was able to get about 4-5 hours of wear time from this lip liner and my lipsticks lasted much longer than if I had worn them alone. The colour of the lipstick was intensified as well which I quite like it because when I go out during the day I hardly wear any eye makeup and wearing a bold lip compensates for not wearing too much makeup. Even after I hate food surprisingly the lip liner was still on my lips even though some of the lipstick has washed off. The lipstick hadn't bled out and my lips didn’t look as if I had a red moustache after eating. How embarrassing is it when that happens and no one even attempts to tell you.

Overall this lip liner is very good and I would definitely recommend this to you if you want to give it a try. I will definitely be repurchasing this and the rest of the colours that are available.

Do you use lip liners before applying lipstick or not? Let me know if you are intrigued by this lip liner and would give it a try.
