REVIEW: AVENE TRIACNEAL TREATMENT CREAM

Having spots is one thing but getting rid of the scars and preventing them from popping up is a whole different issue. The worst thing about having blemished prone skin is having to cope with scars. Not only is it depressing, its horrible to keep starring at them all the time. Most products out there that claim to reduce the appearance of scars hardly perform and sometimes they don’t agree with my sensitive skin. So it is very difficult for me to find a cream that actually agrees with my skin. Avene specialises and creates products that are suitable for blemish prone skin. So I knew that my skin will not have an adverse reaction to the product.

Hong Kong weather affected my skin very badly as it is quite humid and sunny most of the year. My skin reacted to the climate change by producing blemishes as my skin became even more oilier. Once I got rid of the spot I was left with the scars which was very upsetting for me as I was not used to having blemished prone skin. As a trial I started using the Avene Triacneal Treatment cream to help me cope with the scars. Triacneal is a non-greasy emulsion that helps eliminate severe imperfection. After 2 months of use the number of spots will reduce and the scars visibly smoother.

I started using this cream every day in the night as recommended in May. The packaging is very simple and nothing to talk much about. the cream is priced at HK$190 which is a bit over priced but it is absolutely worth every penny you spend. The cream has whipped texture to it and is yellow in colour. There is a slight fragrance that is a bit uneasy but you get used to it over time. Once applied the cream doesn’t leave any residue or doesn’t discolour the pillows. The cream does get absorbed very fast into the skin. For two months I used this every day in the night without using a moisturiser in the night. The first day after using I did have a few white-heads and pimples come up as they were under the skin and would have eventually come out at some point. After the first week my skin felt much smoother and the frequency of spots popping up reduced drastically. My skin wasn’t oily in the mornings as well when I woke up and I noticed that when I used this cream in the night the next day my skin was much less oilier the following day. This was an added bonus for me as my skin can get quite oily during the day. Within a month I noticed that my scars had reduced in colour and were going down significantly. At the end of 3 months my scars were almost invisible. The main reason I keep using this cream is that it helps me keep my blemished prone skin under control. I certainly would recommend this to anyone who is having issues with blemishes and scars. If you live in Hong Kong you can buy it from any Watsons.

Would you be giving this cream a try and seeing if it helped you the same way it helped me. Let me know if you give this ago.
